A clean, discreet ceiling-mounted solution that blows conditioned air in four directions — evenly cooling or heating the whole room from a single unit. We install cassette air conditioning for offices, retail premises, restaurants and commercial spaces across Leicester.
See why businesses across Leicester choose Elite Cooling & Heating for cassette air conditioning.
A cassette unit sits flush within a suspended ceiling tile, with only the decorative front panel visible from the room below. The unit blows conditioned air in four directions simultaneously — ensuring even temperature distribution across the entire room, with no cold spots near the unit or warm spots in the corners. This makes cassette units the preferred choice for open-plan offices, reception areas, retail floors and restaurants where consistent comfort across the whole space is important.
Cassette units are available in a range of sizes, from compact models covering rooms of around 20m² up to large units for open-plan spaces of 80–100m². We calculate the cooling load, select the right unit size and plan the installation to make the best use of the suspended ceiling void for pipe runs, drainage and electrical connections. Where suspended ceiling voids are not available, we can discuss alternative installation options during the survey.
Cassette units are designed to fit standard suspended ceiling grid systems. We install the unit body in the ceiling void during the fit-out phase and drop the front panel in when the grid is in place — making them ideal for refurbishments and new commercial fit-outs.
We survey your premises, assess the ceiling void, calculate the cooling load and specify the right cassette unit for your space. Free, no-obligation survey across Leicester.

A suspended ceiling void makes cassette installation straightforward as the unit body sits hidden above the tiles. However, cassette units can also be installed where there is a suitable ceiling void in a solid ceiling, though this requires more complex installation work. We'll confirm what's possible during the survey.
Most cassette units require a minimum ceiling void depth of around 250–300mm. Some slim-profile models work in shallower voids. We check the available void depth during the survey before specifying a unit.
Cassette units have an integrated condensate pump that lifts the condensate water up through the ceiling void to a drain point — typically a soil pipe, floor drain or external drain. We plan the condensate route as part of the installation design.
Yes. Cassette units can be connected to centralised controllers or building management systems, allowing multiple units to be controlled from a single panel. This is a popular option for larger commercial premises with multiple cassette units across different areas.
